For every business, learning and development act as a secret recipe in order to build an ideal workplace and workforce. A majority of HR leaders are prioritizing learning and development and focusing on their people’s growth. Learning and development (L&D) is basically a process of empowering employees with precise skills to drive great employee performance. Employees are upskilled to perform better and fill the skills gap that is becoming common in the workplace these days.

According to PwC’s 22nd CEO Survey, 79% of CEOs around the world are concerned that a lack of essential skills in their workforce could threaten the future growth of their business.

Performance is just one of the anticipated results of learning and development – it also has several other benefits, such as employee satisfaction, business success, improved employee experience, high retention. Typically, learning and development is considered as part of an organization’s talent management strategy, where L&D platforms are used as a catalyst to attract, nurture, and retain talent.

Challenges faced by Learning and Development Managers and Employees

As an L&D manager, you can help employees become the best workers they can be and achieve well beyond their goals. Isn’t this, right? It all starts with a smart and modern approach to your organization’s learning and development strategy. Here we are highlighting some of the problems L&D managers and employees face with traditional learning and development platforms.

How WorQ’s Grow Digital L&D Platform can help?

WorQ’s Grow is a digital learning management platform that enables an organization to provide custom skill development programs for its employees via digital classrooms available in both app and website versions. With its easy-to-use interface, Grow is a time and cost-efficient solution for L&D Managers. It improves productivity and engages candidates and helps in reducing the attrition rate. Grow is available in two models. (1) available as an add-on feature for existing WorQ users (2) new users can subscribe for only Grow module whenever needed. Grow is a perfect one-stop solution for any L&D Manager because it provides special customization as per every customer’s needs.

Let’s see how Grow makes it easy for you!

1.Grow Masters and Roles

For the learning and development platform setup, Grow provides four types of Masters. By setting up different masters, an L&D manager can control the entire system of privacy and access. The masters are 1. User Setup (for the user is creation) 2. Badges master (for badges creation) 3. Client setup (for client setup) and 4. Role master (for creating roles and permissions to access certain modules such as create, edit and delete dashboard) are very easy to configure. In case you don’t want to take the headache, we will do it for you. Yay!

And roles are nothing but the privileges settings for using any data in the Grow learning and development platform. Let’s look at one example and understand how roles are set up and what privileges they may access at their level. As you can see, at the master setting, an L&D manager can set up these users according to their company requirements in just a few clicks. Easy peasy, right?

2. Module Creation and Assignment

A module is a unit that consists of topics. It is a collection of various topics. Each company can have any number of modules and a module can contain any number of topics. If the module is not required, it can be deleted. The admin or any other user with create permission can create a module as per their needs in just few taps.

After creating a module, you can create a topic within a module. Once the topic is created, click on the created topic. You will now be able to create any number of questions that your employees will answer as a part of their training. You can make the question mandatory/non-mandatory, select the question type, add options and weightage to the questions.

After this, you can assign this module with added topics to the group of employees (which can be created at the master level) and conduct the test by scheduling it for a specific date and time. Assigning gives the facility to L&D Managers to schedule the modules at their convenience, which allows better planning and removes waiting period.

3. Test Evaluation

Conducting tests and evaluating them properly can be a game-changer. We will first understand why we need to conduct test evaluations and how Grow makes it easier for you. Test evaluations help to assess content quality, cater to large audience learning purposes without error, and help L&D Managers to create future tests accordingly. As conveyed, Grow makes it easy for you by giving you easy choices to pick while setting up graded tests.

Setting up evaluation helps an L&D Manager to set passing scores for any particular question in which they want to evaluate pass or fail percentage. In this way, it is very convenient via Grow to create a graded test for users. When a user attempts a test, they will get a scorecard based on their performance and which can be used for future assessments by L&D managers.

4. Grow Reports and Dashboard

Grow report and dashboard can be accessed anytime through a single sign-on from the WorQ application. A real-time overview of the total users, the status of topics assigned, employee groups, and top performers will be displayed in a single dashboard. There are two types of reports available. (1) test score-based reports – Report based on selecting the filters such as Company, Module, Topics, and Date. This report shows the test score and the dates the employee has taken the test. (2) Response-based reports – This report is a graphical representation of the response provided by the employee. By selecting the filters such as – Modules and Topics, this report can be downloaded in the form of an Excel sheet.
